TERMS OF SERVICE
Version 1.0 · 25 July 2026
These terms cover everything on this site: the free and paid membership (The Keep), the sessions and shoots, and the beats. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, ask before you book.
1. Who you are dealing with
This site and the services on it are run by Johnson Aboaba, a sole trader trading as IAmVectorEQ, based in Somerset, England. Contact: wecre8tedreams@gmail.com. Correspondence address: Shride Barn, Othery, Somerset TA7 0QL.
“We”, “us” and “our” mean that person. “You” means whoever is using the site or booking a service.
2. The Keep — membership
Spark is free: the daily questions, weekly reports and the board. Blaze is a paid subscription which adds every week’s report automatically, the journal, the month report and the full archive.
- Blaze renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings, through the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Blaze until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We do not give partial refunds for an unused part of a period, except where the law requires it or where we have got something wrong.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and expire if your account is deleted.
- We may change what is included in either tier, or the price of Blaze. If a change is to your disadvantage we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.
Your check-ins, journal entries and goals belong to you. See the Privacy Notice for what happens to them, including the fact that they are sent to an AI provider to produce your reports.
3. Sessions and shoots
We currently offer:
- Find the Signal — a 90 minute online session. You leave with a written map of what you are making.
- Signal Day — a half day in person at the Pax, in Othery, Somerset.
- The Residency — two days at the Pax producing a set of short films and one longer piece, as described when you apply.
What is included in each is what is described on the site or in writing when you book. Anything else is a variation and needs to be agreed in writing first.
Attending the Pax is also subject to the On-Site Agreement, which you will be asked to accept before you travel.
4. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we have accepted it and payment has been taken. Prices include VAT where applicable; we will tell you if VAT applies. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
The Residency is by application. Submitting the form is not a booking and does not hold a date.
5. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of us confirming your booking, without giving a reason. This is a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To cancel, tell us in writing at wecre8tedreams@gmail.com before the 14 days are up. You do not need a particular form of words, but it must be clear you are cancelling. We will refund you within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method.
Two things change this, and you should read them before booking a date inside 14 days:
- If you ask us to carry out the service within the 14 day period and we fully perform it in that time, you lose the right to cancel. We will ask you to confirm that you understand this at checkout.
- If you ask us to start inside the 14 days and then cancel part way through, you pay a fair amount for what has already been provided, and we refund the rest.
Businesses booking in the course of their business do not have this right. Section 6 applies to them instead.
6. Moving or missing a booking
Outside the cancellation right above:
- Move a date more than 14 days before it: free, subject to availability.
- Move it 7 to 14 days before: free once; after that we may keep 50% of the fee to cover the held time.
- Cancel or move it inside 7 days, or not turn up: the fee is not refundable, because the time cannot realistically be resold.
- If we have to move or cancel, you choose: a new date or a full refund. If we cancel a shoot after you have committed to travel or accommodation, talk to us — we will deal with it fairly.
7. What you bring
The Pax is rural and is not a serviced studio. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you arrange your own transport (you will need a car), your own food and drink, your own accommodation for the nights around a Residency, and any wardrobe or props specific to your idea. We provide the location, the equipment and the crew described in your booking.
8. Rights in the work we make
- You get a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use the finished films we deliver, for your own promotion and commercial use, in any medium.
- We keep copyright in the footage and the finished films, together with the right to use them in our portfolio, on this site and in our own marketing, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Exclusivity is available but is priced separately. If you need us to stop showing the work, or need to own it outright, say so before the shoot and we will quote for it.
- Raw footage and project files are not delivered as standard. They can be, for a fee.
- If you have booked at a founding cohort rate, you have agreed to give a usable testimonial and full portfolio rights in exchange for that rate. That is the trade, and it is why the price is what it is.
- You confirm you own or have permission for anything you bring into the shoot — music, logos, brands, other people’s work — and that we can film and publish it.
9. Beats
Beats bought through The Forge are covered by their own terms: see the Beat Licence. In particular, buying a lease does not transfer ownership of the beat, and there are limits on how far a lease goes.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use the site to post anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else’s rights; do not attempt to break, probe or overload it; do not scrape it. We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that do. Where we can, we will tell you why.
11. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Beyond that: we will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, we will put it right or refund you. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms.
We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses — lost profit, lost business, lost opportunity — if you are booking as a business. Except where the paragraph above applies, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.
The Keep is a reflective practice tool. It is not therapy, counselling, medical or mental health advice, and the reports it produces are generated by an AI system reading what you wrote. Treat them as a prompt to think, not a diagnosis. If you are struggling, please talk to a GP or a qualified professional.
12. Things outside our control
If something genuinely outside our control stops us performing — severe weather, illness, power or network failure, or the site becoming unusable — we will tell you as soon as we can and offer a new date or a refund. We are not liable for delay caused by such an event, but you can cancel and be refunded if the delay is substantial.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you book is the one that applies to that booking. Material changes affecting an ongoing subscription will be notified before they take effect.
14. Complaints and law
Tell us first: wecre8tedreams@gmail.com. We would much rather fix it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
